Between river meadows and wildlife park

A castle, idyllic Wupper meadows, shimmering lakes, and over 300 animals in a wildlife park – this diverse stage offers all this. Along the way lies Laach Castle, a stately, neoclassical villa that makes for a perfect photo stop. From there, narrow paths lead to the Blaue Donau gravel pit lake and Hitdorf Lake, past the expansive Wupper meadows to the Reuschenberg Wildlife Park. There, 46 different species of wild and domestic animals live – including tawny owls, red foxes, tortoises, and Heidschnucke sheep. Visitors can expect a fascinating glimpse into the local wildlife.
