Rural idyll, a recreation park, and panoramic views of classic Bergisches Land scenery – on this section of the hike, the hustle and bustle of everyday life fades into rural peace and tranquility. The starting point is the Volkardey recreation park, which boasts two lakes and the biotope at Silbersee (Silver Lake). With a little patience, rare water birds can be observed here. Further along the trail, the Schwarzbach stream and its eponymous valley accompany the hike. Impressive vistas repeatedly open up on both sides of the stream. Along the way, riding stables and cozy farm cafés invite you to fully enjoy country life.
