On this leg of the journey, city life and recreation, traffic observation and encounters with nature meet in perfect harmony. The route is long, but mostly flat and varied. Along the way, hikers will encounter the runway of Düsseldorf Airport – a real highlight for plane spotters. The Quellenhang nature reserve in Lintorfer Mark offers a more tranquil experience. Afterwards, the Volkardey recreation park in Ratingen, nestled between the Silbersee and Grüner See lakes, opens up – an idyllic retreat for relaxation at the end of the day's hike.
