- Destination: Rindersberger mill in Essen-Kettwig
The stage begins in Velbert with a leisurely, gently sloping route near the "Saubrücke," a former railway bridge made of natural stone. The Rinderbach stream initially accompanies the path until the landscape opens up towards the Abtskücher Teich pond – an idyllic spot of nature that locals rightly call "paradise." Here lies the Abtsküche Museum Landscape in Heiligenhaus, which boasts an environmental education center, a forest and water museum, a fire brigade museum, and a local history museum. Beyond this lies the Ruhr region, offering a sweeping view across the Ruhr River and the Essen-Kettwig district.
