Did you know that Velbert is home to the world's only scientifically run museum for locking and security technology? So if you'd like to hike first and then go on a detective tour through the interactive exhibition, this stage is perfect for you. First, the trail winds through primeval forests up to a premium panoramic view of the Ruhr region. Don't just look, go, go, because part of the route runs through Essen's urban area. The trail then leads through untouched nature and winds through the Asbach Valley, the Rosenbach Valley, and the Langenhorst Forest. Finally, just one kilometer from the trail, the German Lock and Fittings Museum invites you to make an exciting detour.
