This stage tempts with regional delicacies in the farm shops along the trail. First, however, there's the opportunity to visit the architecturally outstanding St. Mary's Cathedral at the starting point in Velbert. Further along, hikers come across the Windrath Chapel, whose landmark is a small, completely black-slated turret. From there, it's not far to the Windrath Valley and its organic farms. The farm shops and cafés along the trail offer regional specialties, including fresh cheese, vegetables, and bread.
