The Mettmann District Tourism Department, together with its partners, organizes IHK Dusseldorf and DEHOGA Nordrhein eV Regular network meetings. These provide information on various tourism topics and offer a platform for exchange and network expansion. All tourism officials and stakeholders, such as accommodation and catering establishments, leisure and cultural facilities, and tour operators from the neanderland.

The nationwide uniform certification system "Travel for All" provides general and trustworthy information on accessibility for all guests. It is very important that companies provide information on accessibility, since many guests depend on accessibility, but have very individual requirements. This is exactly where "Travel for All" comes in, by enabling guests to receive detailed information on accessibility.

In the INFOTHEK, top performers will find explanatory videos, guidelines, checklists and infographics online, which, among other things, provide answers to the topics of "Innovation - Basics & Methods", "Product and offer development", "Marketing and sales", "Demographic change", "Business succession and -Handover" and "Social Media" deliver. The collected knowledge comes from the "National Tourism Innovation Workshop" and is prepared in such a way that tourism companies can find in-depth information on tourism-related topics in simple steps.

Successful promotion of regional projects

ERDF, the European Regional Development Fund, together with the country NRW The projects "Bergische Panorama Cycle Routes – Leisure Cycling on Former Railway Lines between Ruhr, Rhine and Sieg" and "TYPISCH neanderland", the region's quality seal. Both projects are a complete success, are used as a brand and are continuously developed further. Current ERDF-projects count REACT, to promote digitalization in tourism, as well as the Territorial Strategy Concept (TSK), which supports the sustainable development of tourism, culture and natural heritage.
