Landsberg Castle, located on the city border between Essen and Ratingen, enchants with its historical charm. This impressive complex, which dates back to a medieval hilltop castle from the 13th century, was converted into a prestigious residence by the industrialist August Thyssen in the 20th century. Today the castle belongs to theThyssen-Krupp Foundation. The park, which has been largely restored to its original form, including the surrounding forest area, invites visitors to take relaxing walks and experience nature.
