The outer bailey at Hardenberg Castle is idyllic in the countryside in the Neviges district of Velbert. The history of the castle, which then served as a defensive structure, dates back to the 14th century. Today, the outer bailey in the east and west wing offers an excellent setting for events of all kinds. Whether arts and crafts or Christmas market, garden days, lantern magic, jazz matinee or vintage car show - here you will find the right event for everyone. The inner courtyard with its historic atmosphere and the view of Hardenberg Castle also gives every open-air event a unique setting. The beautiful gallery in the west wing is ideal for civil weddings or vernissage events.
NoteFollowing the devastating fire at Hardenberg Castle in 2025, the opening of the planned nature experience center is expected to be postponed until 2028. The castle is currently inaccessible and the grounds remain only partially accessible.
