On the first floor, a multimedia journey through approximately 600 years of town and tower history awaits you. At 15 stations, you'll learn how the Schelmenturm was built, what functions it has had over the centuries—and what makes it so special today. Monheim's Schelm himself will guide you through the exhibition: In an animated projection, he tells stories of prison cells, city walls, and his very own perspective on history with a wink.
A real highlight is the walk-through bell, which tells the story from its creation to its first ringing. And of course, a little fun is also included: At the selfie station with the Monheim rogue – located at the tower's former toilet, of all places – you can take a very special souvenir photo.
Children also get their money's worth: With their own hands-on station and child-friendly language, they are introduced to the story in a playful way and integrated into the exhibition.
The Monchronik exhibition is part of the decentralized city museum of Monheim am Rhein and is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11 a.m. to 17 p.m. (except Christmas and New Year's Day).
Come and rediscover the Schelmenturm: lively, interactive, and more entertaining than ever before.
