monchronic
Monheim's history can be seen and experienced in many places throughout the city. The Monchronik connects these historical sights and places steeped in history and presents them in a unique way.
The goose and the goose girl, the city's popular landmarks, accompany visitors on their tour of discovery. You can simply follow the blue goose footprints in the city area and this will take you to the various stations of the Monchronik. The goose girl is available at the individual sights in the form of a large sign and provides further information.
The Monchronik includes seven stations that can be visited individually or as a tour: the Eel Fishing Museum, the Marienkapelle, the Carnival Cabinet, the Marienburg Park, the Roman Museum Haus Bürgel, Hilla's Reading Shed and the Schelmenturm.
Note: The Carnival Cabinet and the Eel Fishing Museum are currently closed due to renovation work.
Hilla's reading shed is open daily from 10 am to 18 pm.
The Roman Museum Haus Bürgel is open on weekends and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m.
Marienburg Park is open from May to September from 8 a.m. to 22 p.m. and from October to April from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m.
All other stations are currently only accessible from outside.
