The walk-in structure, made of embedded LED panels, forms the contours of a cube. A few steps away, its basic shape is embedded in the ground as a luminous square. Controlled by sensors, the light installation reacts to the movement of passersby. The interplay of light is complemented by a sound installation, creating unusual and surprising impressions amidst the hustle and bustle of the city center. Thanks to the changing sounds and the lighting, which varies depending on the weather, time of day, and season, the "monheim_cube" can be experienced in a constantly new and different way.
The central artwork is complemented by three additional light sculptures located at slightly more distant sites, creating an artistic connection between the periphery and the center.
