Jeppe Hein “Social Playground Monheim”

At the intersection of art and design, the bright yellow benches and lampposts, repurposed as play equipment, invite visitors to meet and interact. Inspired by the Eierplatz (Egg Square), the play area and the delicate fountains of the water feature are designed in overlapping ovals. The "water walls" rise and fall alternately, allowing people to move between them – especially in good weather, the ensemble is a magnet for children and families.
The art of the Dane Jeppe Hein is often very close to life and has a strong social dimension that aims to enrich everyday life and bring people together.
