Elbsee

The Elbsee is located in Düsseldorf, on the border with Hilden. It is a geological relic, originating from the mining of gravel and sand from the Rhine's lower terrace. This process exposed the groundwater and created the basis for a significant wetland. Today, the Elbsee is a recognized nature reserve characterized by high biodiversity.
