Courtyard of the Hellen

The Hofcafé zur Hellen in Velbert invites hikers, families and day-trippers to enjoy homemade organic specialties in a relaxed atmosphere. In the former cowshed or on the spacious terrace, guests can relax after a hike on the neanderlandSTEIG through the Deilbachtal and Windrather Tal valleys, where you can linger over coffee, tea or cold organic lemonade. The culinary offerings range from vegetarian quiche and vegan soup of the day to hearty sausage platters with Mettwurst from our own butchery. At the cake counter you will find meringue fruit cake, poppy seed cake with sour cream and chocolate cake. Gluten-free cakes and soy milk coffee are available for allergy sufferers; there is no white flour, refined sugar or artificial additives. Children can let off steam on the spacious playground with sandpit, trampoline and Bobby Car fleet. There is also the opportunity to watch the pigs and cattle being fed or to visit the chickens and rabbits.
