On the Bergischer Weg trail: section of the 2nd stage
The tour leads from Neviges train station to Wülfrath-Düssel. The approximately 13 km route includes some short, occasionally challenging climbs and offers glimpses into the foothills of the Bergisches Land region. The 3,5 to 4-hour hike takes you past the striking, modern Neviges Cathedral (a short visit is planned), Hardenberg Castle, the source of the Düssel River, and through beautiful forests and fields. Parts of the route run parallel to... neanderland STEIGAfter approximately 12 km, a stop at the "Kutscherstuben" restaurant is planned (optional), after which the route continues to Wülfrath-Aprath train station. Return journey by S-Bahn to Velbert-Neviges.
