Thematic guided tour “Mohács 1526 – Silesia and the Habsburgs” with Dr. Marius Hirschfeld

The tragic death of the only twenty-year-old, still childless Bohemian King Louis II in the Battle of Mohács in 1526 marks the beginning of Habsburg rule over Silesia.
To mark the 500th anniversary of the battle, a themed tour at the Upper Silesian State Museum is dedicated to the consequences of this epochal event, which shaped the region for over two centuries.
