Every year on the last weekend of the summer holidays, the outdoor grounds of the Neanderthal Museum in Mettmann are transformed into a colorful festival full of hands-on activities, live entertainment, and family highlights. Over 3.000 guests of all ages celebrate NRW's popular museum festival together – with lots of fun, creativity, and Stone Age exploration.
A varied program awaits you again in 2025, with Stone Age workshops, music, play stations, culinary offerings, and exciting insights into the world of the Neanderthals. The 2025 Museum Festival will take place on Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Neanderthal Museum in Mettmann.
