Family tour: On the trail of cotton

At Cromford, everything revolves around the white raw material from which thread can be spun: cotton. On the interactive tour, young and old are invited to discover how yarn is made and experience the spinning wheel and spinning jenny in action. Together, they will also go through the individual steps of yarn production: loosening the cotton, combing it, and then stretching and twisting the resulting fleece.
