Doggy Tour - guided tour with dog
“Doggy Day” is the name of the event every first Friday of the month. On these afternoons, dogs on a leash and their well-behaved owners have the opportunity to explore the museum’s permanent exhibition from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.
In addition, archaeologist and dog lover Wolfgang Heuschen will take visitors on a "Doggy Tour". At 16.30 p.m., the tour will then begin "searching for man's oldest friend" through the museum's permanent exhibition.
Participants will receive answers to questions such as "Since when have there been reliable finds of dog bones? How can we identify early dogs archaeologically? Where did they come from and what do the genetic studies reveal? How did people deal with dogs in different periods of human history and what functions did they have in people's lives?"
