Defying the weather. From 25 May to 2 June, numerous Outdoor-Fans can explore the Mettmann district on over 45 guided themed tours. neanderland HIKING WEEK with the big hiking and family festival and the traditional opening hike - this year led by district director Phillipp Gilbert.
In addition to free entry to the LVRAt the Cromford Industrial Museum - Textile Factory, families could create Stone Age tattoos, crack locks, plant cotton seeds, and paint clay pots, as well as participate in an exciting scavenger hunt through Poensgen Park. Hiking guides and TYPICAL neanderland Companies introduced themselves and their offerings, and the latter also provided delicious regional food and drinks.
The guided tours were very diverse: from mindfulness and herbal knowledge, micro-adventures and challenging routes to family walks, everything was included. Both participants and the Tour guides were delighted with the successful hiking event, despite the rainy weather. Tour guides reported that participants were well prepared for the weather, and some even traveled from outside the region for the tours.
